how to improve organic reach on social channels and get extra bounce.

Modern Content Marketing is all about execution - You can have the most brilliant ideas and campaigns, but if you’re not executing them according to the ‘Online’ clock - it fails to make the impact it deserves (organically).

The internet and social media is a great leveller in many ways for SME’s - it gives you ‘free’ access to eyeballs and potential customers that SME’s in the past could only dream of.

The space has become heavily saturated, with organic reach going down across all platforms. So how can you maximise organic reach? Cutting through the fluff organically requires 3 key elements:

Consistency in posting:

Posting consistently seems simple enough, but it isn’t. Social Media algorithms require you to post quicker than you can create content - that is what keeps users on their site, a constant flow of engaging content. On Linkedin posting 3 times a week, especially through personal accounts can generate good organic reach. While company pages currently struggle to reach customers and continue to maintain that reach, it is important to maintain that presence. Using the right content format: Which varies depending on the platform. It also depends on the type of content being posted. In 2024 it appears to be ‘Reels’ even on business platforms such as Linkedin, posting reels can give you a lot of ‘free’ reach as the platform pushes more people towards using Reels.

Just make sure you're set to capture that free visibility with other more engaging content.

Not all content suits the Reel format - more informative posts are better as a static image that can be saved and is more user friendly.

You could create multiple posts..

Creating multiple posts from one topic:

You SHOULD create multiple posts, Ideally creating a long piece of content around a topic that is of interest to your audience - and creating multiple posts across multiple channels - with static, reels and text based to maximise results.

Sticking to a topic for longer is an additional benefit as not all posts cut through the noise and reach your target audience. Repurposing existing content is a quick way to get started - use existing articles and convert them into video, visual, statistical and even audio content.

A lot to manage?

Unfortunately Social Media algorithms require you to post quicker than you can create content, that is what keeps users on their site.

The constant flow of quality content is a challenge for small & mid-sized businesses - The frequency of posting, through personal accounts (Linkedin) and through company pages and accounts on other platforms is essential to reach customers and continue to maintain that reach.

An extra pair of hands would be great? Don't lag behind more established brands on digital platforms.
